Wow...I went a WHOLE MONTH and didn't write anything...I'm so bad at this!  I'm still alive...here in Searcy...biding my time until Christmas break in less than two weeks!!  Thanksgiving was craziness...I, in all my infinite wisdom, decided to work all week...the poor college kid low on cash, don't you know...=)  I hauled hams for The HoneyBaked Ham Company...was THAT an experience!!  Worked with a bunch of high schoolers...tried to make our BAZILLION customers happy...yeah...it was a tough job!  The actual Thanksgiving DAY was good...went to the country like we always do and spend time with my dad's side of the family...it was sad due to the passing of my aunt two weeks ago, but everyone seemed in relative good spirits.  I did get to see some of my high school friends and various other family members...it was a nice little reprieve before coming back here!

Since then, I've just been doing the school thing...got four projects due this next week...which Harding likes to call "Dead Week"...YEAH RIGHT!!!  It is ANYTHING but dead!!  I only have to prepare for four exams, so that's always nice...VERY happy about that one...=)  Hope everyone in Xangaland is doing alright...hang in there...this semester's almost over!!

Dad gum it...guess I better update this thing...it's SO hard, with all the mess I have to do these days...yes, I'm back at good ole Harding, just having such a grand time! (Friend wise, that is...classes on the other hand...well...not so much!)  We just started Tuesday...oh goodness...I THOUGHT I was ready...but yeah...OOPS!

I have the coolest room in the WORLD...that would be MY OWN!  Hehehehe...=)  I got to decorate it ANYWAY I wanted...so I did...complete with pictures and other Trina paraphenalia...=)  Very homey...I think I'll be able to deal with it this year!

On a not so fun note...it is SUPER HOT here!!  We actually hit 104 the other day...in Searcy, Arkansas!  Things like this should not be!  Just walking around campus causes one to break a sweat!  Sadly enough, it will be this way until probably October...better get used to it!

Lots of great fun with "the girls" lately...a.k.a. "The Crew"!  Us five have been apart all summer...and only a place like Harding could bring us back together!  We've had GREAT fun getting back in "the swing"...complete with pizza and Oreo mess...MMM MMM GOOD!  I get to see them on a regular basis...since we're ALL in the same dorm!  WOO HOO on that one!  Super fun chicks...don't know what I'd do without them.

Hope this finds you all well...this one's for you, Audra...since you say I NEVER write in this thing...better pick up the pace on my end!  Keep on smilin'...love to hear from ya...and have an awesome day!!!  =)

Doo bee doo bee doo...that's about how life is right now!  I just got back from Honduras this past Saturday, and I went to work to get my schedule yesterday...and I don't work until Friday!  What am I supposed to do with all this extra time...hhhmmm...well, I think I'll tell ya a little bit about my AWESOME week in San Marcos de Colon, Honduras...

Oh my goodness, where to start?  We did SO much more than any of us ever expected...we built a church building, built a house, did a VBS for over 400 children, passed out bags of clothes, washed childrens' hair for lice, painted the school there, moved over 1,000s of wheelbarrows of dirt...and loved every minute of it!  I went with one of the BEST groups I have ever had the opportunity to work with - we all meshed really well and jumped right in!  Erinne got to go with me this year...I've been the only one in my family to go unitl this year...and I saw a side of her that I've never seen before.  She was part of the crew that built the house...19X18 completely finished...and shoveled and hauled dirt like nobody's business.  She played with the children around her, showing them a love that they have never known.  I was honored to have her with me...she is such a wonderful friend!

The worst part about the week...yeah...I kinda LOST MY VOICE for two days...I left the States with a few problems, but not many...by the time I got there...pardon the phrase..."I GOT NOTHIN'!"  The group made fun of me for squeaking the whole time...yeah...I definitely have SEVEN years experience in Spanish, and I couldn't speak a lick of it!  I tried to talk to people, especially the children, but they would just turn and run...they were petrified of me!!  Oh well...I drank straight pure lemon juice, doused with water, to loosen up some of the mess around my throat...that helped some, and I got some of my volume back, but not entirely.  I'm still without a voice today...I really don't want to go to the doctor for it...cuz I'd rather tough it out...but if this lasts another week, I'm gonna have to....BAH!

Aside from my missing voice...and the remnants of Hurricane Emily bugging us every day...we has quite a productive week!  All the above that I listed...we completed in four days...JUST four days!  Honestly, it was no amount of what we did while we were there...it was by the grace of God and His power that we were able to do so much.  What an uplifting week...something I really needed!

I hope all you guys out there are doing well and having a great summer...even though I haven't had a chance to talk to you all, which I profusely apologize for, know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers.  Audra...we need to chat here pretty soon...and I don't have ANY of your numbers!  Send me something on here...that will work just fine!  Love you all bunches and bunches...can't wait to see you!
